Game Tame Dove Breast
Ingredients
- 16 Dove breasts
- Allegro Game Tame Marinade
- 1 Stick butter or margarine
- 2 Tbsp blended flour
- 1 Cup sour cream
Directions
- Place dove breasts in plastic zipper bag in deep bowl. Pour on Game Tame Marinade, reserving 3/4 cup. Close bag and marinate 6–8 hours or overnight under refrigeration.
- Drain meat.
- In a dutch oven or heavy skillet on top of stove, brown dove slightly in butter. When browned lightly, add enough water to keep from burning, cover and cook for about 1 hour.
- When almost done, add reserved marinade. Cook about 20 minutes longer, then remove meat.
- Add blended flour and sour cream to the gravy, stir and let thicken. Return meat to gravy and heat.
